The ideal candidate will provide individualized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs while fostering a structured, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Provide specialized instruction tailored to students' academic, behavioral, and functional needs.
- Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet individual student goals.
- Implement accommodations, modifications, and positive behavior support strategies.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families.
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions.
- Ensure compliance with IDEA, Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction regulations, and district policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Valid Wisconsin Special Education Teaching License (or eligibility to obtain).
- Previous school-based special education experience preferred.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills.
