We are seeking a reliable, organized, and passionate Dog Daycare Manager to oversee the daily operations of our dog daycare facility. The ideal candidate is a natural leader who enjoys working with dogs and people, maintains a safe and positive environment, and provides exceptional customer service to pet owners.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the daycare facility.
- Supervise, train, and schedule daycare staff.
- Monitor dog behavior and ensure safe, appropriate group play.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary facility.
- Communicate professionally with pet owners regarding their dogs' care and behavior.
- Handle customer concerns with professionalism and compassion.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and vaccination policies.
- Assist with admissions, evaluations, and temperament testing for new dogs.
- Support business growth by promoting excellent customer experiences.
Qualifications
- Previous experience managing a dog daycare, boarding facility, veterinary clinic, or similar pet care business preferred.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of canine behavior, body language, and group play management.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays as needed.
Preferred Skills
- Pet First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Experience with scheduling software and customer management systems.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
