Starter, Generator, and Alternator Technician
Temple Electric is seeking a dependable Starter, Generator, and Alternator Technician to diagnose, disassemble, rebuild, test, and repair electrical rotating equipment. This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and experience working with industrial electrical components. On the job training is also available.
Responsibilities
· Diagnose problems with starters, generators, and alternators using appropriate testing equipment.
· Disassemble units, inspect components for wear or damage, and determine needed repairs.
· Rebuild electrical units by replacing defective parts and reassembling them.
· Tests rebuild and repaired units to verify proper performance.
· Document repairs, parts used, and test results accurately.
· Support team operations by assisting with related shop duties as needed.
Qualifications
· Experience rebuilding or repairing starters, generators, alternators, or similar electrical/mechanical components preferred.
· Ability to use hand tools, measuring tools, and diagnostic/test equipment safely and effectively.
· Basic understanding of electrical systems, wiring, and component testing.
· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to lift parts and equipment up to 75 pounds and stand for extended periods as required.
· High school diploma or equivalent preferred; technical training is a plus.
Preferred Skills
· Experience with electrical systems, charging systems, and component rebuilding.
· Ability to read work orders, follow repair procedures, and keep accurate records.
· Dependable attendance and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Schedule and Compensation
This is a full-time position. Pay will be based on experience and qualifications.
Temple Electric offers Simple Roth with 3% matching, ESST, Paid PTO, Health vision and dental insurance.
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
