Part-Time Social Media Coordinator — Shrumfuzed
Location: California (Hybrid — remote work with occasional in-person days for content shoots) Hours: 10–20 hrs/week, with a few set hours for live posting and check-ins Pay: $20–25/hr, depending on experience Reports to: Brand Manager

Shrumfuzed makes functional mushroom products in the alternative products space. We're a small, fast-moving brand, and our social presence is where most people meet us for the first time. We're looking for someone who can bring that first impression to life.
The Role
We're hiring a part-time Social Media Coordinator to own our day-to-day presence on Instagram and TikTok. You'll create and post content, engage with our community, and help shape a lightweight content strategy as we grow. This is a hands-on role — equal parts creative and organized.
What You'll Do
- Plan, shoot, and edit short-form video and photo content for Instagram and TikTok (product features, behind-the-scenes, trends, educational content on functional mushrooms)
- Write captions and manage a posting calendar
- Monitor and respond to comments and DMs, and proactively engage with our community and relevant accounts
- Track basic performance metrics (engagement, follower growth, top-performing content) and suggest adjustments
- Help identify trends, sounds, and formats worth jumping on
- Coordinate occasional in-person content days (product shoots, events, pop-ups)
- Support light influencer/UGC outreach as needed
What We're Looking For
- Experience running Instagram and TikTok for a brand (professional, freelance, or strong personal accounts with demonstrated results)
- Comfort filming and editing short-form video (CapCut, Premiere Rush, native apps, etc.)
- Strong writing voice — casual, clear, on-brand
- Self-starter who can manage a calendar and hit posting deadlines with minimal oversight
- Based in California and able to attend occasional in-person shoots
- Familiarity with the functional mushroom, alternative products, and/or adaptogen space is a plus, but not required
