Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to join our dynamic supply chain team. Duties
- Monitor and record inventory levels using warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or AS400
- Conduct regular stock counts and cycle audits to verify accuracy and identify discrepancies
- Coordinate with procurement and sourcing teams to ensure timely replenishment of stock based on demand planning and sales forecasts
- Analyze inventory data using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Nielsen to identify trends, root causes of issues, and opportunities for process improvements
- Manage shipping & receiving operations, including materials handling, order fulfillment, and logistics coordination with 3PL providers
- Support procurement activities by assisting in supplier management, contract review, and price negotiations
- Utilize data mining and analytics techniques for demand planning, category management, and inventory optimization strategies
- Assist in implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency in stocking procedures, materials handling, and warehouse workflows
- Operate forklifts safely for heavy lifting tasks and materials movement within the warehouse environment
- Maintain detailed records of inventory transactions, stock movements, and cycle counts for audit purposes
Skills
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and warehouse distribution processes
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems (such as SAP or AS400), SQL databases, and data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI
- Excellent data analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets for actionable insights
- Experience with procurement processes including sourcing, contracts negotiation, and pricing strategies
- Familiarity with demand planning software (MRP systems) and supply chain analytics tools for forecasting accuracy
- Ability to perform root cause analysis to resolve inventory discrepancies efficiently
- Knowledge of materials handling equipment operation such as forklifts; certification preferred
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and stock management tasks
- Effective communication skills for collaborating across departments including merchandising, logistics, purchasing, and retail management
- Ability to perform analysis skills related to financial modeling, pricing strategies, and supply chain optimization techniques
