Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Harley-Davidson Apparel Manager to lead the Desperado H-D MotorClothes Department with enthusiasm and expertise. Duties
- Manage all aspects of department operations, including inventory control, merchandising, and sales management to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.
- Lead, train, and develop a diverse apparel sales team through effective onboarding, coaching, and performance evaluations.
- Oversee purchasing decisions, pricing strategies, and stock replenishment to ensure optimal product availability and presentation.
- Implement promotional activities to boost store traffic and sales growth.
- Handle financial management duties such as cashiering, cash handling, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and shift management with accuracy.
- Utilize POS (Point of Sale) systems for transactions while maintaining operational excellence through inventory management and loss prevention strategies.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety standards, and operational procedures to create a secure shopping environment.
Requirements
- Proven management experience within the retail industry, particularly in apparel or related sectors.
- Demonstrated supervisory skills with experience in team management, training & development, and leadership roles.
- Strong knowledge of retail math including pricing, sales analysis, budgeting, and inventory control.
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual abilities are highly desirable for diverse customer engagement.
- Proficiency with POS systems, operational management tools, and basic bookkeeping software.
- Experience in employee orientation, and training new staff members.
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities such as merchandising, stock stocking, marketing initiatives, and shift supervision effectively.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a focus on time management and operational efficiency.
- Customer service expertise coupled with phone etiquette skills to foster positive shopper interactions.
