Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Lead Toddler Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this dynamic role, you will lead classroom activities, develop engaging curriculum tailored to toddlers’ developmental stages, and foster a nurturing environment that promotes growth, curiosity, and joy. Duties
- Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development principles, including literacy education, math, physical education and STEM activities.
- Lead daily classroom activities that promote active learning, social interaction, and positive behavior management tailored specifically for toddlers.
- Monitor and assess each child's progress using standardized testing methods and childhood development benchmarks to inform instruction and support early intervention when needed.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share updates on children’s progress, behavior, and developmental milestones; foster strong partnerships to support each child's growth.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety; maintain accurate documentation of incidents or concerns.
- Supervise classroom staff and volunteers, providing guidance on classroom management, child care best practices, and early childhood education techniques.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment that adheres to all health regulations including first aid and CPR certifications; implement behavior management strategies effectively.
Experience
- Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings such as daycare centers or preschools; minimum of several years in a teaching or leadership role preferred.
- Strong background in toddler care combined with expertise in curriculum development, classroom management, and childhood development instruction.
- Knowledge of special education needs, early intervention strategies, and behavior management techniques tailored for young children.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and community partners; excellent interpersonal skills essential for fostering collaborative relationships.
- Familiarity with Montessori educational philosophies or other preschool teaching methodologies is highly desirable.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional credentials in childhood development or early childhood education are advantageous.
- Experience with standardized testing processes for young children as well as tutoring or supplemental instruction in literacy or math is a plus.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
