Duties
- Perform comprehensive dental examinations, including patient assessment and diagnosis utilizing medical and dental terminology.
- Deliver a wide range of dental treatments such as general dentistry procedures, dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery.
- Utilize dental software systems like Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and treatment planning.
- Conduct procedures following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure patient safety and compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations.
- Collaborate with patients to develop personalized treatment plans while educating them on oral health maintenance and preventive care.
- Execute dental fabrication tasks and manage medical imaging processes to support accurate diagnosis and treatment outcomes.
- Maintain detailed medical records and documentation in accordance with healthcare diagnosis standards, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality at all times.
- Assist in dental office operations by managing patient flow efficiently during four-handed dentistry procedures, ensuring a smooth patient experience from check-in to follow-up.
- Stay updated on advancements in pediatric dentistry, anesthesiology, and other specialties relevant to comprehensive oral healthcare delivery.
Experience
- Proven experience working within a busy dental clinic environment with familiarity using dental practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix.
- Demonstrated expertise in pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics (including root canal therapy), prosthodontics, and general dentistry procedures.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques essential for safe practice.
- Prior experience providing patient care in accordance with HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws.
- Skilled in performing dental extractions, root canals, prosthetic fabrication, and other complex procedures with precision and care.
- Ability to assess patients comprehensively through thorough clinical evaluation and medical/dental history review.
- Excellent communication skills for effective patient education and team collaboration within a multidisciplinary environment.
- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and the use of advanced diagnostic tools to enhance treatment accuracy.
