We are urgently hiring an Electromechanical Technician to support Field Joint Coating (FJC) operations during a critical 60+ day offshore shutdown project. Mobilization is scheduled for July 6–8, 2026.
Location: Mobilizing from the Texas/Louisiana Gulf Coast (Hiring Nationwide / Regional Hub: Katy, TX)
This is a full-time temporary offshore assignment requiring 84-hour work weeks (12-hour shifts, 7 days per week).

Role Overview
In this role, you will operate, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain specialized Field Joint Coating (FJC) equipment used for induction heating, abrasive blasting, and plural component coating of pipeline weld joints. You will ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime in a fast-paced offshore environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain field joint coating equipment
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system failures
- Perform preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and uptime
- Support heating, blasting, and coating operations on pipeline weld joints
- Follow offshore safety procedures and environmental regulations
- Respond quickly to equipment issues to avoid operational delays
Requirements
- Technical certification or formal training in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics
- Experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electromechanical equipment
- Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Ability to perform physically demanding offshore work (standing, climbing, bending, confined spaces)
- Ability to remain offshore for 60+ consecutive days
- Availability to work 12-hour shifts, 7 days per week
- Must pass background check and drug screen
Preferred Qualifications
- 3–7+ years of offshore, pipeline, or oil & gas electromechanical maintenance experience
- Experience with FJC systems (Shawcor/Mattr, Serimax, or similar)
- BOSIET certification
- OGUK Medical Certificate
- TWIC Card
- Valid U.S. Passport (6+ months validity)
- Welding and fabrication experience (MIG/TIG)
