Job Overview
We are seeking a Strength and Conditioning Coach to work with high school athletes in a structured summer training program. This role focuses on implementing effective training that improves strength, speed, and overall athletic development.
This is a hands-on coaching role working with teams in a group setting. The position runs from mid-June through mid-August, with training hours Monday–Thursday from 8:00 AM–12:00 PM. Onboarding and limited hours will take place during the second and third weeks of June.
Schedule
- Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM–12:00 PM
- Seasonal position: Mid-June through mid-August
- Additional onboarding hours during mid-June
Responsibilities
- Lead and assist group strength and conditioning sessions for high school athletes
- Coach proper technique in strength training, speed, and conditioning work
- Set up and organize equipment before and during sessions
- Maintain a safe, structured, and focused training environment
- Provide clear coaching cues and feedback to athletes
- Track attendance and assist with basic performance tracking
- Communicate with head coach regarding athlete progress and session flow
Qualifications
- Experience in strength and conditioning, sports performance, or personal training preferred
- Strong understanding of foundational strength training movements and coaching principles
- Ability to coach and manage groups of athletes effectively
- Comfortable working with middle school and high school athletes
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
Preferred Certifications
- CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist)
- NSCA-CPT or similar certification
- CPR/AED certification
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
