Lead Teacher – Next Steps Learning Center (Carver, MN)

Next Steps Learning Center in Carver is looking for a full-time Lead Teacher to join our amazing team!
We’re seeking someone who brings creativity, warmth, and professionalism to the classroom — someone who truly loves helping young learners grow, explore, and thrive each day.
What You’ll Do
- Create and implement engaging weekly lesson plans
- Design a welcoming, well-organized classroom that inspires discovery
- Build strong, positive relationships with children and families
- Communicate regularly with parents to support each child’s success
- Ensure compliance with state licensing requirements and maintain safe ratios
- Help with diapering, feeding, nap times, and classroom organization
- Collaborate with fellow teachers to create a joyful, team-oriented environment
What We’re Looking For
- DHS Rule 3 qualified (required)
- Experience in an early childhood classroom
- Dependable, caring, and genuinely passionate about working with children
- Current or willing to obtain CPR, First Aid, SIDS, and Shaken Baby certifications
- Able to lift, bend, and sit on the floor during active play
- A gentle, patient, and professional demeanor
