Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. As a Preschool Teacher, you will play a crucial role in fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of preschool-aged children. Your expertise in childhood development will help shape their learning experiences and prepare them for future educational success.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents on their development.
- Utilize effective behavior management techniques to maintain a positive classroom atmosphere.
- Foster strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues to support each child's individual needs.
- Incorporate various teaching methods to cater to different learning styles and abilities, including special education strategies when necessary.
- Promote social skills through group activities, playtime, and collaborative projects.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and developmental milestones.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including first aid protocols.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and practices.
- Experience working with children in a classroom or caregiving setting is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques and special education practices is a plus.
- First aid certification is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with children and parents alike.
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for teaching young learners are essential traits for success in this role.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $11.33 - $14.00 per hour
