Job Description:
We are looking for Associate Marriage and Family Therapists who are genuinely passionate about working with children, adolescents, and their families. In this role, you will provide psychotherapy on a flexible schedule, collaborate with families and other professionals to develop effective treatment plans, and work under the supervision of a licensed therapist as an integral member of our clinical team.
We are specifically looking for candidates who are excited to build a career specializing in child and family therapy, not simply complete licensure hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial assessments to determine the needs of the child, adolescent or family and create personalized treatment plans.
- Provide individual sessions to children and adolescents, addressing a variety of relational, emotional and behavioral issues.
- Work closely with families to support and involve them in the therapeutic process.
- Collaborate with other professionals, including teachers, doctors, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care.
- Maintain detailed and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
- Participate in supervision, case consultations, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
- Current registration as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) in the state of CA.
- Specialized training in working with children and adolescents in a therapeutic setting.
- Training or education in psychodynamic or psychoanalytic therapy
