Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing friendly and professional customer service
- Manage restaurant reservations using reservation management system
- Coordinate seating arrangements efficiently to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction
- Answer incoming phone calls with proper phone etiquette, assisting with reservations and inquiries
- Maintain accurate records of reservations, wait times, and guest preferences
- Support the restaurant team by managing guest flow and communicating wait times effectively
- Uphold food safety standards and ensure a clean, organized host/hostess station at all times
Skills
- Proven experience as a host/hostess or in food service environments with strong guest relations skills preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with professional phone etiquette
- Strong organizational skills to handle reservations, waitlists, and guest requests efficiently
- Ability to perform basic math for managing reservations and seating calculations
- Demonstrated hospitality mindset with a focus on providing outstanding customer service and guest satisfaction
- Understanding of food safety practices and restaurant operations principles
