Position: Summer Reading Interventionist Instructor

Job Summary
The Summer Reading Intervention Instructor will provide targeted, small-group reading instruction to elementary students in need of additional support. Instruction will be based on Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) data collected during the previous school year. The purpose is to accelerate reading growth and support foundational literacy skills through evidence-based instructional strategies.
This position will run for 3 weeks during the summer, with sessions held twice per week for 2 hours each, totaling 6 two-hour sessions. Scheduling may vary by school based on student need.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree and PA Elementary Instructional Certification required.-
Knowledge of foundational reading skills, phonics, fluency, and comprehension strategies.

Experience delivering structured literacy or reading intervention programs such as UFLI, Sonday System, IMSE (Orton-Gillingham), HMH Into Reading/Intervention, or similar research-based approaches.

Reading Specialist Certification preferred.
Compensation: $41.86 per hour as per the PEA agreement
