JOB SUMMARY
The Set-Up Technician is responsible for setting up equipment and tooling accurately to produce parts according to print specifications while supporting production schedules, quality standards, and operational efficiency.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Machine Set-Up and Production

Review production orders and confirm print specifications are accurate and complete.

Verify required materials are available and meet order requirements.

Set up and prepare hook forming machines for production runs.

Adjust machine settings to achieve required production rates and schedule demands.

Operate machines and assist with material handling activities, as required.

Collaborate with the tool room and engineering teams to develop and implement continuous improvements for machine setups and tooling processes.
Quality and Accuracy

Ensure produced parts meet print specifications and quality standards.

Perform minor machine adjustments troubleshooting and adjustments as needed during operation.
Tooling and Equipment
-
Inspect tooling for correctness and overall condition prior to setup.

Maintain tooling inventory and organization at assigned machine centers.
Workplace Organization and Safety

Support and sustain 5S standards to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work area
-
Follow all company safety policies and safe work practices.
Additional Responsibilities

Requirements:
EDUCATION, LICENSES, AND EXPERIENCE
-
High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred

Minimum of 2 - 4 years of experience with machine set-up and operation preferred
SKILLS (Language, Mathematical, Reasoning, Other)

Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
-
Ability to read and interpret part prints and technical drawings
-
Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on technical experience
-
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
-
Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively and provide direction to others
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to lift up to 50lbs., due to inspection of product

Ability to stand for long periods of time
