.
1. In collaboration with local tribes, recruit, orient, train and provide administrative and clinical supervision to regional Behavioral Health Aides, including annual performance evaluation and corrective action, as needed.
2. Provide supervision and oversight of program staff including BHA Clinical Leads. Partner with staff to further enhance program including recruiting and hiring qualified staff to provide training and leadership.
3. Develop and maintain productive working relationships with local tribal supervisors, in accordance with TCC policy.
4. Provide clinical supervision in accordance with TCC policies, grant requirements, and individual BHA certification level. Document supervision on appropriate form.
5. Support behavioral health aides’ professional development by promoting their involvement in academic programs, BHA Certification, on-going on-the-job training, and relevant outside training. Develop staff training plans for each BHA and monitor progress.
6. Facilitate collaboration between Behavioral Health Aide Program and TCC Wellness and Prevention Program to enhance delivery of prevention in the TCC region.
7. Manages the daily clinical activities of the rural service providers and assures compliance with regulatory agencies.
8. Reviews staff productivity to meet standards set by Behavioral Health Director.
9. Ensures ethical and professional quality of services.
10. Demonstrates personal initiative and accountability while managing the program budget; Forecast needs, allocate resources and/or take corrective action if necessary.
11. Assist with grant management and reporting requirements relevant to BHA program.
12. Provides assistance in emergency or crisis situations in conjunction with the Health Aides, VPSO’s and clinician on call.
13. Conducts chart reviews of staff producing clinical documentation to assure clinical documentation meets policy standards, appropriateness, and effective treatment services.
14. Reviews, approves and signs initial assessment and treatment plans.
15. Follows up with clinical staff on data reports to assure appropriate and timely data.
16. Attends training to enhance and update skills as directed by Behavioral Health Clinical Director or in congruence with trainings offered on Training schedule.
17. May share behavioral health emergency on-call services, provide crisis intervention as needed.
