Join our dynamic team as a Packaging Associate/Hyster Operator, where you will play a vital role in ensuring efficient and safe packaging operations within our manufacturing environment. Responsibilities
- Operate packaging machines and related equipment to assemble, package, and prepare products for shipment
- Safely operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand tools to move raw materials and finished goods
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues on packaging machinery promptly to minimize downtime
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance
- Follow all safety standards, GMP guidelines, and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) protocols during daily tasks
- Assist in loading and unloading materials using forklifts or other warehouse equipment while maintaining proper handling procedures
- Maintain accurate documentation of production activities, including logs for machine operation and safety checks
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and perform physical tasks throughout shift
- Prior experience operating forklifts, packaging machines, or industrial equipment in a manufacturing or food production environment preferred as well as valid forklift certification
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively
- Basic math skills for measuring, counting, and quality checks
- Familiarity with GMP standards, safety protocols, and proper PPE use in a manufacturing setting
- Ability to operate hand tools, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely
- Warehouse experience is advantageous but not mandatory; a strong willingness to learn is essential
- Knowledge of machining processes or industrial equipment troubleshooting is a plus
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment by adhering to all safety standards and procedures
- Team player with a can-do attitude and strong sense of responsibility
- Good communication and time management skills
- Bilingual Spanish/English a plus
- Drug test required of all hires

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
