Key Project Requirements:
- Extensive knowledge of Alstom T190-240 generators and their original design and operating characteristics.
- Experience with generator engineering, product engineering, applications engineering, or technical support within an OEM environment.
- Ability to evaluate available documentation and provide technical recommendations regarding generator configuration and capabilities.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly specialized Alstom T190 Generator SME / Consulting Engineer to support a technical evaluation of Alstom T190 generators. This individual will provide generator engineering expertise through the review of available documentation and technical information to help determine the original design configuration and capabilities of the units.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review generator drawings, specifications, nameplate data, serial numbers, and other available documentation.
- Provide technical guidance regarding generator configuration, capabilities, and design characteristics.
- Support engineering discussions and answer technical questions related to the T190-240 product line.
- Prepare written findings, recommendations, or technical summaries as required.
- Collaborate with internal engineering personnel to evaluate available information and support decision-making.
- Provide subject matter expertise regarding generator upgrades, modifications, or operating considerations.
Job Requirements:
- Strong understanding of large synchronous generators and related rotating equipment.
- Experience with generator design, applications engineering, fleet engineering, or product support.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Previous involvement with generator upgrades, repairs, modifications, or technical evaluations preferred.
Education / Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
- 10+ years of experience supporting large generators, rotating equipment, or OEM engineering activities.
- Previous experience with Alstom Power, GEC Alstom, GE Power, GE Vernova, Arabelle Solutions, or similar organizations strongly preferred.
