Taylor Nelson Slattery Bernard PL is a dynamic, growing, multi-office, national transportation and logistics law firm. We are looking for our next rock star Paralegal.
What You’ll Do
- Take full responsibility for your case load as an engaged, initiative-taking team member.
- Analyze, organize, and maintain legal files within the firm’s case management system.
- Advance cases, including monitoring deadlines, preparing case materials, coordinating with clients, and ensuring timely movement toward required litigation or transactional milestones.
- Delegate administrative tasks such as calendaring, scheduling, or clerical file maintenance to support staff, while retaining oversight.
- Maintain knowledge of transportation industry operations, regulations, and client needs.
- Support multiple attorneys with litigation, pre-litigation, regulatory, and corporate matters throughout Florida and other jurisdictions.
- Prepare and file legal documents, including pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, exhibits, motions, and regulatory submissions.
- Create and manage case-related tasks and deadline systems, including litigation calendars, hearing dates, deposition schedules, and statutory deadlines.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of 7 years’ civil litigation, pre-litigation, and corporate paralegal experience, transportation a huge plus.
- Associate’s degree in paralegal studies, Business, or related field. Bachelor’s degree a plus.
- Ability to work equally well on a team or independently.
- Solid understanding of Rules of Civil Procedure.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
