Job Summary
Our office has an opening for a friendly and outgoing dental assistant to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms with dental instruments, supplies, and sterilized equipment in accordance with infection prevention management and aseptic techniques.
- Assist dentists chairside during various procedures such as X-ray imaging, restorative and implant dentistry.
- Take dental X-rays and scan patients as needed
- Educate patients on oral health care, post-treatment instructions, and dental terminology to promote ongoing oral hygiene practices.
- Process dental instruments efficiently following sterilization procedures and ensure all clinical equipment is functioning properly.
- Support front desk duties as a dental receptionist by managing appointment scheduling through patient management software and coordinating patient flow seamlessly.
Qualifications
- Experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental clinic environment.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to dentistry.
- Familiarity with dental equipment including X-ray machines, sterilization tools, 3D scanners, and other clinical instruments.
- Strong understanding of infection control practices including healthcare infection prevention and control expertise.
- Ability to perform dental instrument processing, dental sterilization procedures, and aseptic techniques effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to support patient care and collaborate with the dental team in four-handed dentistry settings.
- Certification in radiography (dental X-ray) is required.

Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour
