Work Year: 180 days/year; 9-month position; 3 paid holidays

Position Overview
To assist in cafeteria services.
Key Responsibilities
The Cafeteria Floater will:

Assist in floating capacity with daily assignments coordinated through the food services department according to location needs.

Follow the cafeteria clean-up schedule after meal service.

Maintain assigned work station cleanliness and restock.
-
Follow established procedures for food preparation, service, and cleaning-sanitization.
-
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Food Services.
Education Requirements
Minimum: High School Diploma/GED

Six months experience as a cashier preferred

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute percentages.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to effectively communicate to school administration, co-workers and students.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Able to hear with 40 decibel loss maximum.

Able to see with acuity of 20 inches or less and far acuity of at least 20 feet normal depth perception, field of vision and accommodation.

Able to reach above and below the waist, walk and use fingers to pick, feel and grasp objects.

Ability to Lift/Carry/Push supplies weighing up to 50 lbs.

Able to work in a kitchen environment with extreme temperatures including heat exposure due to cooking, and cold exposure due to coolers/freezers.

Able to stand ninety percent (90%) of workday.

The noise level in this environment is generally moderate to loud.
