CNC Multi-Axis Turning Machinist

- 1st Shift: 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday-Thursday
- 2nd Shift: 3:30 PM–1:30 AM, Monday–Thursday
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist with proven experience operating and setting up multi-axis turning centers. The ideal candidate will have strong machining skills, the ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T, and experience with precision inspection equipment.
Doosan and/or Okuma turning center experience is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate multi-axis CNC turning centers.
- Perform turning, drilling, milling, and finishing operations.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
- Set tooling, offsets, and machine parameters as required.
- Inspect machined components using precision measuring equipment.
- Use calipers, micrometers, and similar inspection tools.
- Monitor machining processes and make necessary adjustments.
- Troubleshoot minor machine and process issues.
- Maintain quality and production standards.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Qualifications
- Proven CNC machining experience required.
- Multi-axis turning center experience required.
- Doosan and/or Okuma turning center experience strongly preferred.
- Experience setting up and operating multi-axis lathes.
- Ability to perform turning, drilling, milling, and finishing operations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T.
- Proficient with calipers, micrometers, and precision inspection tools.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
- Ability to work independently and maintain production quality.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
- Repetitive hand and wrist movements throughout the shift.
- Ability to occasionally lift and maneuver workpieces and tooling weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
