OPEN POSITION: PRN Respiratory Therapist – (Per Diem)
As a Respiratory Therapist at Othello Community Hospital, you’ll provide specialized respiratory assessment and care to patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions. Working closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary team, you’ll recommend and implement treatment plans, deliver therapeutic interventions, and support patients across all age groups—from neonates to geriatrics.

Location: Othello Community Hospital, Othello, WA

Schedule: Minimum 12-24 hours per pay period with on-call rotation

Wage Range:
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT): $33.14 – $60.03/hour
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT): $41.86 – $67.92/hour
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform respiratory assessments and administer treatments such as oxygen therapy, nebulization, and mechanical ventilation

Conduct diagnostic procedures including arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis and Electrocardiograms (EKG).

Collaborate with physicians to develop individualized care plans

Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions and home care
-
Maintain and calibrate respiratory equipment
-
Participate in emergency response situations (e.g., codes, rapid response)
QUALIFICATIONS:

Graduate of an AMA-accredited Respiratory Care program
-
Washington State Respiratory Care Practitioner License
-
CRT or RRT credentials from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)

BLS (Healthcare Provider Level) required at hire and NRP
-
ACLS certifications required (or obtained within 6 months)
-
BLS/Heartsaver CPR Instructor certification preferred (or obtained within 6 months)
-
Minimum of 2 years’ acute care experience preferred

Deliveries and Neonatal Respiratory Care experience needed.
