Process Technician
Pay: $30.00–$35.00 per hour

About the Position
We are seeking an experienced Process Technician to support our injection molding operations. This position plays a key role in maintaining stable and efficient molding processes, improving product quality, reducing scrap, and supporting production goals.
The ideal candidate will have strong injection molding experience, excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, and the ability to analyze process data and identify root causes when performance does not meet expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, understand, and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) assigned to the Process Technician.
- Identify root causes when KPIs do not meet established goals and implement corrective actions to bring performance back on track.
- Partner with Production, Quality, and Engineering to improve process capability, product consistency, efficiency, and productivity.
- Identify opportunities to reduce scrap, improve cycle efficiency, and optimize molding processes.
- Perform injection molding mold changes and prepare presses for production.
- Understand and accurately complete master and recordable process sheets, startup/shutdown check sheets, and change logs.
- Make process adjustments to correct quality, scrap, and process-related issues.
- Monitor and adjust colorant ratios and verify material/color load during production.
- Verify finished parts meet established quality and cosmetic requirements.
- Understand and utilize Statistical Process Control (SPC) within the ERP system.
- Use process data to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and support continuous improvement.
- Change robot EOAT and load programs through robot controllers.
- Troubleshoot robotic and process-related issues.
- Work with Engineering on problem solving, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Complete tooling work orders when molds require Tool Room attention.
- Train and provide guidance to entry-level molding technicians.
- Maintain organization of robot EOAT and production equipment.
- Maintain clean and organized machines and work areas.
- Support 5-S standards throughout the molding department.
- Provide technician coverage during vacations or absences.
- Promote and maintain a safe work environment through daily inspections, proper procedures, and safe work practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support production and department goals.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 5 years of injection molding or related process technology experience.
- Demonstrated injection molding mold change experience.
- Strong understanding of injection molding processes and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of practical application of Scientific Process Development principles.
- Experience with KPI tracking, root cause analysis, and corrective action.
- Understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and its application within an ERP system.
- RJG Master Molder I certification preferred.
- Experience with robotics; FANUC 6-axis robot experience is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze process data.
- Ability to work effectively with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance teams.
- Strong communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

The successful candidate will take ownership of assigned KPIs, support continuous improvement, and help drive consistent quality, productivity, and process performance.
Pay Range: $30.00–$35.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
