Bookkeeper

Our Perry office is currently recruiting for a Bookkeeper to work closely with our bookkeeping clients to provide them with QuickBooks expertise and consulting services. The position will provide clients unique solutions to address their specific needs!
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert QuickBooks support and training on QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online
- Perform general bookkeeping duties, including downloading and manual entry of expenses, deposits and other transactions into QuickBooks to ensure accurate billing and data for clients
- Analyze and reconcile accounts and prepare a variety of reports, including statements of cash flow, balance sheets, income statements, and other reports as needed for analysis by businesses
- Manage invoicing, AP/AR, payroll and other tax or insurance payments per individual client needs
- Conduct period end accounting for review by firm Partners and for tax return preparation
- Handle payroll and sales taxes
- Create financial statements and perform general bookkeeping tasks
- Maintain and update fixed asset schedules
- Prepare a trial balance from bank statement activity
- Record activity from brokerage account statements
- Collaborate in an office environment with other stakeholders and all levels of an organization
- Drive results and ensure quality outcomes in a timely and organized manner
- Listen actively, ask clarifying questions, quickly assess issues, and develop action-oriented plans
Qualifications:
· QuickBooks certification (or ability to gain certification within 6 months of hire date)
· 2-3 years of experience with QuickBooks strongly preferred
· 1099 and W-2 knowledge preferred
· Payroll and Sales Tax experience preferred
· Associate degree or higher in accounting, finance, or related field required
· Experience with Microsoft Office Excel required
· Strong interpersonal skills are a must for client communications
· Self-starter with the ability to prioritize
· Excellent organizational skills to ensure meeting deadlines
· Analytical skills with detail orientation required
· Ability to work as an effective member of a team
· Motivated to work in a fast-paced environment
· Possess strong written and oral communication skills to produce regular communications to various stakeholders with various personalities, including employees, clients, and vendors
· Committed to maintaining excellent client service and delivery
· Ability to meet revenue targets as outlined in performance expectations
· Maintain flexibility to meet client and business schedules and industry fluctuations
