Company Overview
Goldberg Brothers, Inc. is a metal fabrication, door hardware, and contracting manufacturing company built on a culture of accountability, precision, and continuous improvement. Every member of our team is expected to understand their role, own it fully, and contribute directly to the success of the business. We do not settle and haven't for more than 100 years.
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated CNC Press Brake Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team, supporting a key client account with a consistent, ongoing production run. This position is responsible for the setup, operation, and monitoring of our Amada Press Brake, and will start by focusing on mastering a single, repetitive part for this account — building speed, consistency, and quality on that part before anything else. This position offers the opportunity to develop hands-on CNC skills in a fast-paced factory environment while contributing directly to the production of high-quality products for a valued client. Whether you're new to CNC or bring up to a year of experience, we'll invest in building your skills on the brake — with a path to cross-train on our broader equipment lineup, including the Amada flat table laser, Haas CNC, and Trumpf tube laser/bender, once you've established consistency on your primary part.
Role Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor the Amada Press Brake to form a dedicated part for a key client account according to blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.
- Focus on mastering the setup, bend sequence, and quality checks for your assigned part, building consistency, speed, and accuracy through repetition.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and written specifications to determine bend sequences, angles, and tolerances.
- Set up and maintain appropriate tooling and fixtures for your assigned part to ensure accurate, repeatable forming run after run.
- Conduct quality control checks using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, protractors, and other measuring tools to verify bend angles and dimensions.
- Monitor machine operations throughout each run, making adjustments as needed to maintain tolerances and part quality.
- Maintain accurate documentation of machine settings, production logs, and inspection reports for traceability.
- Perform routine maintenance on the press brake and assist in troubleshooting basic mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
- Operate hand tools and a forklift as required and safely to support production workflow.
- Assist other departments with tasks as directed, including loading and unloading parts from the paint line, basic assembly support, and welding cleanup.
- Once consistency is established on your primary part, take on cross-training opportunities across our broader CNC equipment lineup, including the Amada flat table laser, Haas CNC, and Trumpf tube laser.
Prior Experience
- New to CNC or up to 1 year of hands-on experience operating a press brake or similar CNC equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Exposure to blueprint reading and precision measurement tools like calipers is a plus.
- Previous factory or warehouse experience involving materials handling, fabrication, tooling setup, or assembly line work preferred.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and apply basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Willingness to learn safety procedures related to machining operations, including forklift operation and use of hand tools.
- Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on quality control in a manufacturing setting.
Required
- Willingness and aptitude to learn CNC press brake operation.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications, or willingness to learn.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform precise measurements using calipers and other measuring instruments.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
Preferred
- Prior hands-on experience with a press brake (Amada, Haas, Trumpf, or similar).
- Exposure to CAD or fabrication engineering drawing software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Bend-Tech, or similar).
- Experience in a fabrication, door hardware, or sheet metal manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
- New to 1 year of hands-on CNC or press brake operation experience in a production manufacturing environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical trade school certificate or coursework in machining or manufacturing technology is a plus.
- Ability to stand and/or sit for long periods of time.
- The ability to lift in excess of 50 lbs.
- Work in a warehouse environment while exposed to various weather conditions.
- Willingness to learn OSHA safety standards applicable to CNC and fabrication environments.

- 39 hours total per week
- Aiming for a Thursday–Saturday schedule; may fall on a rotating or weekend-inclusive schedule based on production needs
