Responsibilities

- Teach various art techniques and concepts, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital media.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their artistic development.
- Organize and oversee art exhibitions, showcases, and competitions to promote student work.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate art education into the broader school curriculum.
- Maintain an organized and safe classroom environment, ensuring all materials and equipment are properly cared for.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress and art program initiatives.
- Stay current with art education trends and best practices through professional development opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification in Art Education or eligibility for certification.
- Previous teaching experience in an educational setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of various art techniques, mediums, and art history.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students and parents.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students to explore their creativity and develop their artistic skills.
- Proficiency in integrating technology into the art curriculum is a plus.
