Job Description: Includes but is not limited to the following
1. Responsible for the design of DC Power Supplies, Rectifiers, AC Switch Assemblies and various Power Electronic Solutions and systems. Qualification testing as needed.
2. Complete power calculations, thermal designs, single-line drawings, grounding plans, cable harness drawings, control schematics, interconnect diagrams and test procedures.
3. Specify electrical components required for a product design and provide details to Mechanical Engineer.
4. Develop equipment data sheets, bill of materials, submittal reviews and approvals, etc.
5. Cost estimating supporting Sales.
6. Assist Test Engineer with Failure Analysis testing and reporting.
7. Mentor and collaborate with team members.
8. Work closely with Customers and Suppliers
9. Additional duties as assigned.
Reports to: Vice President of Engineering
Educational Requirements:
1. Min 4 Year Electrical Eng Degree, or 5-10 years experience with similar products.
Previous Experience Requirements:
1. Designing with Power Semiconductors
2. Power System design, Electrical Drawings, Magnetics, Load calculations, protection calculations.
3. Word, Excel, SolidWorks, SolidWorks Electrical, PSpice, Lab View, or similar programs
