Who Are We Looking For?
An OTA with a desire to grow and learn new ways to help patients on their journey to optimal health. Someone with a knack for patient care and communication, who understands that working in a small healthcare practice requires a team approach to every patient and thrives in a growing organization. This is a perfect position for someone who wants to be constantly learning new things and working on complex cases.
Responsibilities:
The role is primarily focused around coordinating and performing patient therapy sessions. You’ll be in charge of facilitating neurological rehabilitation exercises, monitoring patients for fatigue and progress, while adapting exercises on the fly. In addition, you’ll be working in tandem with OTs & a physician on new patient exams and treatments. This position will involve a lot of on the job training in different therapies and techniques.
Experience/Qualifications
- Occupational Therapy Assistant License/COTA
- Currently registered/licensed in applicable state (IL). Must maintain an active license in good standing throughout employment.
- Able to work 30 Hours/week (6 hours/day), schedule of 5 days per week
- Able to problem solve independently, as well as communicate within a team
- Two years experience in patient care
- At least one seminar/class certificate outside of basic training (Preferred)
- Excellent verbal / interpersonal communication skills
- Experience using iPad/Tablet
Compensation
- $25 - $30
- Opportunity for Benefits after 90 day probationary period
