Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Maintenance Technician to oversee the daily maintenance operations of our facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical and electrical background, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to perform efficiently in a fast-paced production environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring optimal performance and reliability of all production equipment.

Responsibilities

Oversee and maintain daily functionality of all plant equipment, including fillers, labelers, case packers, forklifts, pallet jacks, pumps, motors, plumbing, boilers, and water treatment systems.
- Conduct start-up procedures for all machinery before production and troubleshoot issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Implement and execute scheduled preventative maintenance programs while adhering to standard plant GMPs.
- Perform hourly inspections to ensure equipment is operating correctly and make adjustments as needed.
- Diagnose, repair, and rebuild machinery as required or scheduled.
- Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns to restore equipment functionality.
- Manage and utilize spare parts inventory, maintenance orders, and PM schedules to track and document all completed tasks.
- Strictly adhere to all safety protocols and procedures during maintenance activities.
- Use manufacturing analytical software to communicate with production teams and record downtime events.
- Maintain a food-safe environment by sanitizing all tools, keeping work areas clean, and following all GMP and sanitation practices.
- Perform basic facilities maintenance as requested.
Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical systems with minimal supervision.
- Proven ability to diagnose, repair, and maintain complex machinery and production equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand and power tools.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to act decisively under pressure.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
- Basic English literacy (reading, writing, and comprehension).
- Physically capable of lifting up to 60 lbs and performing tasks involving walking, kneeling, bending, twisting, climbing, and similar physical activities.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
