We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Transportation Assistant to support our clients and caregivers by providing safe, timely, and dependable transportation services. This role is essential in ensuring clients can attend important appointments and caregivers can access employment-related requirements and assigned work sites when needed.The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and comfortable working with individuals who require supportive care and assistance.Key ResponsibilitiesClient Transportation
- Provide safe and reliable transportation for clients to and from medical appointments, therapy sessions, and other essential visits.
- Assist clients with entering and exiting vehicles as needed, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Maintain punctual pick-up and drop-off times to ensure timely arrival at appointments.
Caregiver Transportation Support
- Transport caregivers to assigned work locations as needed.
- Provide transportation for caregivers to pre-employment requirements such as testing, screenings, orientations, or onboarding appointments.
- Support timely and safe arrival for caregiver employment-related activities.
Safety & Vehicle Responsibility
- Operate a vehicle safely and in accordance with all traffic laws and company policies.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-maintained vehicle at all times.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
- Ensure the safe and respectful transportation of all passengers.
Communication & Coordination
- Communicate effectively with office staff regarding schedules, delays, or transportation updates.
- Assist in coordinating daily transportation needs based on operational priorities.
- Report incidents, concerns, or scheduling issues immediately to leadership.
General Support Duties
- Assist with additional transportation or operational tasks as assigned.
- Support overall agency operations by ensuring reliable mobility for clients and caregivers.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (required).
- Proof of current and valid auto insurance (required).
- Must possess a reliable, registered, and insured personal vehicle to travel to various work sites, client locations, and meetings throughout the service area.
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to safely assist clients with mobility needs when required.
- Comfortable working with seniors and individuals requiring supportive care.
- Prior experience in transportation, caregiving, or healthcare support is preferred but not required.
