We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented RN Weekend Supervisor to lead our nursing team during weekend shifts. This pivotal role ensures the delivery of exceptional patient care, maintains compliance with healthcare regulations, and supervises clinical staff to uphold our standards of excellence. Responsibilities
- Oversee daily nursing operations during weekend shifts, ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality patient care.
- Supervise and support nursing staff, including assigning duties and monitoring performance to promote team efficiency.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, and physical examinations to inform care plans.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, state healthcare regulations, and nursing policies while maintaining accurate medical documentation.
- Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and manage catheter care following safety protocols.
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams for discharge planning, case management, and utilization review processes.
- Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks to document patient information accurately.
Qualifications
- Valid RN license with current state registration.
- Strong background in medical-surgical, geriatrics, behavioral health, or long-term care settings.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia care is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Epic EMR systems and ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) required; familiarity with healthcare management software is a plus.
- Demonstrated supervisory or nurse management experience in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Knowledge of physical examinations, medical terminology, infection control practices, and medication administration protocols.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations.
