New Hilton Homewood Suites in Walker, MI., is currently seeking full and part-time Maintenance staff. These would be ideal positions for skilled individuals, retirees, or someone looking to supplement their income with part-time work.
The candidates we seek are self-directed and organized. Building maintenance experience is required, however these positions do not require extensive backgrounds with licenses and certifications, minimal carpentry, electrical, plumbing, preventive maintenance experience would be sufficient.
Job duties.
- Respond and attend to guest repair requests.
- Check for new maintenance requests from the Property Management System and update remarks once the task is completed.
- Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments.
- Preform maintenance service in the guest rooms such as plunging toilets, unclogging drains, repairing/ trouble shooting, and or clean up.
- Use of hand tools and other equipment typically used for building maintenance.
- Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and order replacement parts and supplies as needed.
- Upkeep of pool, spa and its equipment.
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
- Performs other duties assigned by ownership group and General Manager.
Skills Desired
- Pool & Spa operations helpful but not necessary we will train if needed.
- General building maintenance experience. Basic carpentry, electrical, plumbing repair skills.
- Ability to work in a neat and efficient manner, keeping work areas clean and well organized.
- Ability to multi-task in a busy environment and adhere to the hotel’s Standard Operating Procedures.
