Position Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, collaborative Speech-Language Pathologist to join our pediatric therapy team. This role focuses on providing strengths-based, relationship-driven support to children with diverse communication profiles, including neurodivergent individuals. The SLP will work closely with families and a multidisciplinary team to support functional communication, participation, and overall development.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive, play-based, and functional speech and language evaluations
- Develop individualized, strengths-based treatment plans that prioritize meaningful participation
- Provide therapy using neurodiversity-affirming, relationship-based approaches (e.g., child-led, play-based, connection-first)
- Support a wide range of communication needs, including:
- Expressive/receptive language
- Social communication
- Gestalt language processing
- AAC (augmentative and alternative communication)
- Articulation and phonological development (when appropriate and functional)
- Collaborate closely with occupational therapists and other team members to provide holistic care
- Educate and coach caregivers to support communication in everyday routines
- Complete timely documentation, including evaluation reports, daily notes, and progress updates
- Participate in team meetings, case discussions, and ongoing professional development
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current state licensure (or eligibility)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred (CFs may be considered)
- Experience in pediatrics preferred
