Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments using forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, and RF scanners to ensure accuracy and safety.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment with precision, utilizing order picker tools and inventory management software to meet delivery deadlines.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through data entry in warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP systems like AS400 or similar platforms.
- Organize stock in designated areas using proper stocking techniques, ensuring easy access for order picking and inventory counts.
- Load outbound shipments onto trucks efficiently while adhering to shipping logistics standards and trade compliance regulations.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and inventory audits to verify stock levels and identify discrepancies promptly.
- Assist with packaging products securely for shipment, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations when applicable.
- Support warehouse distribution activities by coordinating with logistics teams to optimize shipping & receiving operations.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and load & unload machinery safely following all safety protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service by accurately processing orders and responding to internal requests with professionalism.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working in a warehouse environment with familiarity in warehouse operations, shipping logistics, and inventory management software.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment including forklifts (certification preferred), reach trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners safely.
- Strong basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying inventory quantities accurately.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel for data entry and reporting purposes.
- Knowledge of international trade regulations and trade compliance standards is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail for stock accuracy and order fulfillment.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards at all times.
- Prior experience with ERP systems like AS400 or MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems is advantageous.
