ArcelorMittal Tubular Products (AMTP) in Shelby, Ohio produces welded and seamless precision tubes in a wide spectrum of carbon and alloy grades and offers one of the most extensive size ranges in the world. Our tubular products serve a variety of markets including automotive, industrial and construction equipment, hydraulic cylinders, agricultural equipment, and mineral mining equipment.
Your role
The ArcelorMittal Tubular Products (AMTP) Manufacturing Supervisor is to supervise the workforce to ensure that the Company achieves its business plan. The successful candidate must place a specific emphasis on continuous improvement in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, customer service, and employee involvement. This position also requires the availability to work any shift in addition to a 7 day work week.
Main tasks for the Manufacturing Supervisor
- Provide leadership, motivation, direction, and support to the relevant manufacturing area.
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of the relevant manufacturing area.
- Responsible for safety, productivity, quality, on time delivery, and overall production of assigned on-shift personnel.
- Conduct safety training as well as coordinate on the job training of shift personnel.
- Coordinate operations to meet production schedules based on maintaining lineups through departmental specific operations.
What we are looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical related discipline a plus (but not required)
- Two (2) to five (5) years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment a plus.
- Must possess a strong mechanical aptitude, and have an ability to understand technical processes.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must have superb management, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Innovative, self-motivated, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Excellent proficiency in computer technologies especially Microsoft Office software.

Other important details
Candidate must be available for potential travel, possess the physical ability to climb stairs, bend, stoop and move throughout the plant as needed, stand for long periods of time, perform repetitive movements, occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and possess the ability to hear and speak clearly, in English, in person and over the phone.
