Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items with precision, including grilling, braising, poaching, and other cooking techniques.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitizing procedures to ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Assist in menu planning and food production to support daily service needs.
- Handle food with care, following proper food handling protocols to prevent contamination.
- Support high-volume production during busy service hours while maintaining quality and consistency.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely delivery of dishes.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts to uphold hygiene standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a restaurant setting, preferably with fine dining or high-volume kitchens.
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking methods such as grilling, braising, and poaching.
- Knowledge of food safety management and sanitizing procedures required for food industry standards.
- Experience with dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus.
- Familiarity with menu planning, catering, and serving in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent food handling skills combined with culinary experience in the food industry.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards.
