Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and friendly Host/Hostess to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests from the moment they arrive. Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression
- Manage restaurant reservation systems and seating arrangements efficiently using restaurant table management software such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Answer incoming phone calls with excellent phone etiquette, assisting with reservations, wait times, and general inquiries
- Maintain organized waiting lists and communicate wait times clearly to guests
- Coordinate with the dining team to ensure timely seating and guest flow, optimizing restaurant capacity
- Assist with guest relations by addressing questions, special requests, or concerns promptly and courteously
- Support food safety standards by maintaining cleanliness of the host station and adhering to hygiene protocols
Experience
- Previous experience as a host or hostess in a busy restaurant environment preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency in restaurant reservation management systems such as Toast
- Strong customer service background with excellent communication skills and a positive attitude
- Experience handling phone communication professionally with good phone etiquette
- Basic math skills for managing reservations, wait times, and guest counts accurately
- Familiarity with POS systems, including Micros POS or similar platforms, is advantageous
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tables, reservations, and guest needs simultaneously
- Knowledge of food safety practices and hospitality standards to ensure guest satisfaction and safety
