Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Staff member to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities and equipment. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, efficient, and well-functioning environment by performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and supporting various technical tasks. Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on machinery, electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC units, and building infrastructure to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Conduct welding repairs and residential painting as needed to maintain facility aesthetics and structural integrity.
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future tasks.
- Supervise or assist with facilities maintenance projects, ensuring safety protocols are followed and work is completed efficiently.
- Support manufacturing or residential environments by maintaining equipment reliability and adhering to safety standards.
- Lead or collaborate with team members on complex repairs while providing guidance based on mechanical knowledge and technical expertise.
- Read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
- Maintain a clean, safe workspace by following safety procedures related to welding, electrical work, painting, and general maintenance activities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or manufacturing environments with a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems.
- Knowledge of schematics, technical manuals, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), welding techniques, residential painting, and the use of diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Electrical experience including wiring, troubleshooting circuits, and understanding electrical codes.
- Mechanical knowledge applicable to equipment repair and preventive maintenance routines.
- Ability to read schematics accurately and interpret technical diagrams for troubleshooting purposes.
- Supervising or leadership experience is preferred for guiding team efforts effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English to coordinate with team members and report issues clearly.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance management is advantageous.
- Strong customer service orientation when interacting with internal teams or external vendors.
