The Solon Learning Academy is looking for a Child Care Teacher to encourage the healthy intellectual growth of the children in our center. You will teach and supervise them while also motivating them to use their imagination. Our center is open Monday thru Friday. Our hours of operation is 6am-6pm daily.
Responsibilities
- -Design and carry out lesson plans suitable for the children under your care.
- -Provide care to all children that meet their basic daily needs.
- -Use a variety of teaching methods (stories, media, games, art, music, writing, etc) to enhance the child's abilities.
- -Evaluations are completed in our preschool classrooms to advance children's abilities, and to evaluate what needs to be worked on further.
- -You must be in constant communication with parents as needed in your classroom.
- -Must work well with others
- -Follow all safety regulations required by our facility, and by DHS.
Skills
- We would like to have the following skills (but not necessarily required):
- -Basic knowledge of child development and up-to-date education methods
- -Experience in childcare settings
- -Patience for all children
- -Good communication skills
- -Certificate in first aid and CPR (will complete this within 3 months of hire if you do not have this)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $13.00 - $18.00 per hour
