Job Title: Administrator, Student Data Information Systems (SDIS)
Location: Teacher Administrative Center, 3215 Cuming Street, Omaha, NE 68131
Reports To: Director, IMS Tech Support
Work Schedule/FLSA Status: 12-month / Salaried Exempt
Salary Schedule: Non-Negotiated S04_26Z / Salary credit may be awarded for applicable experience. Placement on the salary schedule will follow the applicable agreement .
Start Date : End of October 2026 / will work directly with the candidate
Position Purpose: The Student Data Information Systems (SDIS) Administrator serves as the district's primary functional lead for Infinite Campus and related student data processes. This position provides leadership, coordination, consultation, and system administration support for student information systems while ensuring alignment with district operational requirements, state reporting obligations, and instructional initiatives. The SDIS Administrator collaborates with district administrators, data owners, school personnel, technology staff, and vendors to support student data management, business processes, system configuration, and continuous improvement efforts.
Essential Performance Responsibilities
Team Leadership and Operational Coordination
- Provide day-to-day leadership and coordination for the SDIS team.
- Assign, prioritize, and monitor support requests, projects, and operational activities.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for complex Infinite Campus questions, requests, and issues.
- Coordinate stakeholder communication, system updates, issue resolution, and project activities.
- Monitor ticket queues and assist with troubleshooting, escalation, and resolution efforts.
Infinite Campus Administration
- Serve as the lead administrator for Infinite Campus.
- Configure and maintain calendars, grade levels, terms, day structures, attendance, behavior, grading, custom attributes, and school setup.
- Manage enrollment roll forward, enrollment end batch, active year transitions, and annual system processes.
- Review new releases and coordinate communication and implementation timing.
- Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate with Infinite Campus support as needed.
Student Data Management and State Reporting
- Support the accuracy and integrity of student data maintained within Infinite Campus.
- Coordinate enrollment, attendance, scheduling, grading, transcripts, and student records processes.
- Support state reporting activities, including configuration, data mapping, validation, error resolution, and compliance efforts.
- Monitor timelines and recurring reporting requirements.
- Provide support for custom standards-based elementary report cards.
Consultation, Support, and Relationship Management
- Serve as a subject matter expert regarding Infinite Campus functionality and district processes.
- Advise departments regarding capabilities, limitations, impacts, and best practices.
- Evaluate requests for new functionality, process improvements, and operational changes.
- Translate technical concepts into actionable guidance for stakeholders.
Annual and Recurring District Processes
- Coordinate School Choice activities.
- Support Enrollment Roll Forward, Enrollment End Batch, Active Year transitions, and school/calendar setup.
Support grading cycles, transcript processes, district configuration updates, and state reporting activities.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Education, Information Systems, Educational Technology, Business Operations, or related field, required.
- Three or more years supporting a K-12 Student Information System, preferably Infinite Campus, required.
- Experience supporting enrollment, attendance, scheduling, grading, transcripts, and state reporting, required.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, documentation, training, and stakeholder management skills.
- Advanced knowledge of Infinite Campus functionality and administration.
- Experience in a K-12 educational environment.
- Experience leading projects, teams, or district-wide initiatives.
- Working knowledge of student data management and reporting processes.
- Ability to analyze complex data issues and develop solutions.
- Knowledge of FERPA and student data privacy requirements.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.

Additional Duties
Performs other related tasks as assigned by supervisor and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent or Chief Operations Officer.
Equipment: This position may require the ability to use basic office equipment, including computers, copiers, and scanners. Must always comply with OPS’s guidelines for equipment use.
Travel: Limited travel will be required.
Physical and Mental Demands, Work Hazards:
- Must be able to respond rapidly in emergency situations.
- Must have organization, time management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Work in the central office environment and from home. The work schedule environment is to be determined by the direct supervisor.
May be required to occasionally work evenings or weekends during system upgrades, state reporting periods, or major implementations.

- Contact with district personnel, customers, and vendors.
- Will work under the direct supervision of the department supervisor to complete day-to-day tasks.

Employee Punctuality and Appearance
- For schools to operate effectively, employees are expected to perform all assigned duties and work all scheduled hours on each designated workday, unless the employee has approved leave.
- Any deviation from assigned hours must have prior approval from the employee’s supervisor or building administrator.
- All employees are required to report to work dressed in a manner that reflects a positive image of Omaha Public Schools and is appropriate for their position.
Terms of Employment
This position is considered a full-time, exempt, classified position. The terms of your employment will be governed by applicable state laws regulating employment in a Nebraska public school and Board of Education policies, as those laws and policies may change from time to time. If your position is represented by a collective bargaining representative, then your employment will also be governed by a negotiated agreement between OPS and that collective bargaining representative.

- Obtaining and providing verification of all licenses, certificates, and other requirements for the position (e.g., Paraprofessionals obtaining “Highly Qualified status,” etc.), as identified and maintaining all licenses, certificates, and requirements for your position throughout employment.
