Nail Technician Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Nail Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in nail care and beauty services, demonstrating exceptional customer service skills and a keen eye for detail. As a Nail Technician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nail services while ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for our clients.
Duties
- Perform a variety of nail services including manicures, pedicures, acrylics, and gel applications.
- Utilize knowledge of color theory to assist clients in selecting nail colors and designs that best suit their preferences.
- Maintain sanitation standards by properly cleaning tools and workstations after each client.
- Provide excellent customer service by actively listening to client needs and offering personalized recommendations.
- Upsell additional services such as nail art or facial waxing to enhance the client experience.
- Stay updated on the latest trends in nail care and beauty treatments to offer clients innovative services.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and high levels of client satisfaction.
Requirements
- Valid cosmetology license or certification as required by CT state regulations.
- At least 2 years or more of experience.
- Strong knowledge of nail care techniques, sanitation practices, and customer service principles.
- Familiarity with additional beauty services such as facial waxing and bodily waxing is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Ability to demonstrate retail math skills for effective product sales management.
Compensation
This job role is commission-based. Commissions are distributed through a turn-based system. There’s no guaranteed fixed salary, so earnings will vary due to performance, seasonality, customer demand, and business activity.
