Responsibilities
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, pruning, and planting to keep commercial properties looking pristine
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for various landscaping and construction activities
- Support the installation of hardscape features including patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other decorative elements
- Perform lawn care duties such as aeration, fertilization, and weed control to promote healthy turf growth
- Conduct tree care activities including trimming, pruning, and planting to enhance landscape aesthetics and safety
- Help with irrigation system installation, repairs, and maintenance to ensure proper watering of landscaped areas
- Support snow plowing operations during winter months to maintain safe access for clients
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hedge cutters
- Knowledge of horticulture principles including gardening techniques, plant health care, and landscape design fundamentals
- Ability to perform landscape maintenance tasks efficiently while adhering to safety standards
- Strong understanding of tree care practices including trimming, pruning, and planting techniques
- Experience with irrigation systems installation and troubleshooting is a plus
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills in landscaping and hardscape projects
