Position Overview
The Union League is seeking a professional, service-oriented Front Desk Agent to join our team. As the first point of contact for members and guests, the Front Desk Agent plays a key role in delivering an exceptional hospitality experience. This position is responsible for welcoming members and guests, managing check-ins and reservations, handling inquiries, and ensuring smooth front desk operations in a private club environment.
Due to the nature of club operations, candidate must be available to work evening shifts, weekends, and holidays, and there is potential cross-training and scheduling for Night Audit responsibilities when needed.
Key Responsibilities
Greet members, guests, and visitors warmly while maintaining the club’s high standard of hospitality.
Manage check-in and check-out procedures efficiently and accurately.
Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct requests to the appropriate departments.
Assist members with reservations for guest rooms, dining, and club amenities.
Maintain accurate records of reservations, billing, and member information.
Handle guest concerns or service issues promptly and professionally.
Coordinate with housekeeping, security, and other departments to ensure smooth daily operations.
Process payments and maintain balanced cash and transaction records.
Support Night Audit duties when scheduled, including overnight front desk coverage, system balancing, and reporting.
Uphold the privacy, security, and exclusivity standards expected in a private club setting.
Schedule Requirements
Evenings, weekends, and holidays are required.
Flexible availability is essential due to the club’s operating hours.
Overnight/Night Audit shifts may be required.
Qualifications
Previous experience in hospitality, hotel front desk, or customer service preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Familiarity with hotel/property management systems (JONAS) is a plus.
High school diploma or equivalent required; hospitality training or degree preferred.
