Job Overview
Que Suave Ice Cream is seeking an experienced and motivated Event Operations Manager to lead our team during concerts, sporting events, festivals, and other major events at the Alamodome and throughout the San Antonio area. As a fast-growing, veteran-owned company, we're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads by example, and is passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role is responsible for overseeing event operations, supervising team members, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining food safety standards, and serving as the primary point of contact during events.
Duties
- Lead and supervise event staff before, during, and after each event.
- Coordinate event setup, operations, and breakdown.
- Ensure all team members provide exceptional customer service.
- Manage cash handling, POS operations, and end-of-event reconciliation.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs.
- Maintain food safety, sanitation, and company standards.
- Train, coach, and support new employees.
- Handle customer concerns professionally and resolve issues quickly.
- Communicate effectively with venue management, event personnel, and the Que Suave ownership team.
- Ensure employees remain productive, professional, and represent the Que Suave brand positively.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Previous management or supervisory experience in food service, concessions, hospitality, retail, or events is preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Comfortable leading a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Experience using point-of-sale (POS) systems and handling cash accurately.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
- Reliable transportation and availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
- Must be dependable, proactive, and able to make sound decisions under pressure.
