Key responsibilities:
****PLEASE NOTE - THIS IS A SATURDAY & SUNDAY POSITION*****
The Shelter Advocate will provide direct service and systems advocacy to clients/residents. Duties will include crisis intervention, hotline, safety/security of service recipients/building, personal and legal advocacy, client intakes and exit interviews, case management, data collection and entry, and other duties as assigned.
Required skills and abilities:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Handle confidential client and administrative information
- Ability to prioritize, be self-directed and handle a variety of tasks * Works well independently or with others Qualifications:
- Two years’ experience in working with victims of domestic violence or related field
- Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and clean driving record
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
Job Type: Part-time (Saturday & Sunday) (7pm-7am)
Experience:
- Domestic Violence or related field: 2 years

- Bachelor's Degree Required
