Job Title: Registered Dietitian
Location: Sumter, SC
Type: Contract | 13 Weeks | Traveler or Local
Pay Rate: $35 - $40/hour
Shift & Schedule: Day Shift (5x8 Hours) | 08:00 AM – 04:30 PM | Monday – Friday | 40 Hours Per Week
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Registered Dietitian for an exciting Travel or Local job in Sumter, SC.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and screenings.
Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans.
Monitor and evaluate patient nutritional status and progress.
Provide nutrition education and counseling to patients and families.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Document nutrition interventions and recommendations in the medical record.
Ensure compliance with facility policies, regulatory standards, and evidence-based nutrition practices.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field from an accredited program.
Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential required.
Active South Carolina Dietetics License required.
Current BLS certification required.
Strong knowledge of medical nutrition therapy and nutrition assessment.
Experience working with adult medical, surgical, and ICU patient populations.
Excellent communication, counseling, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple patient consultations efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of clinical dietitian experience preferred.
Acute care hospital experience preferred.
Experience working in an acute care hospital environment.
Experience collaborating within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Experience caring for diverse adult patient populations across multiple clinical service lines.
