We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Professional Counselor-In Training (LPC-IT) to join our growing mental health practice. In this role, you will provide high-quality psychotherapy and counseling services to a diverse client population, which may include children, adolescents, adults, couples, and individuals with developmental disabilities.
This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing personalized mental health care through in-person sessions and telehealth. The LPC or LPC-IT will develop individualized treatment plans, maintain accurate clinical documentation, and collaborate with other professionals when needed to support comprehensive client care.
For LPC-IT clinicians, ongoing clinical supervision will be provided in accordance with Wisconsin licensure requirements. Supervision will focus on professional development, strengthening clinical skills, meeting required supervised hours, and preparing for full LPC licensure.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations to identify client concerns, diagnoses, treatment needs, and appropriate goals.
- Provide individual, couples, family, or group therapy using evidence-based and client-centered approaches.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and regularly evaluate client progress.
- Support clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma-related symptoms, grief, relationship concerns, life transitions, ADHD, chronic stress, and other mental health challenges.
- Utilize therapeutic approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, trauma-informed care, psychodynamic therapy, and other interventions appropriate to the clinician’s training and scope of practice.
- Assess and respond appropriately to clients experiencing mental health crises or safety concerns.
- Provide counseling services to children, adolescents, adults, couples, older adults, and individuals with developmental disabilities based on the clinician’s experience and areas of competence.
- Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation while maintaining compliance with HIPAA, professional ethics, and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, social workers, schools, and other professionals when appropriate and authorized by the client.
- Maintain proficiency with electronic health records and telehealth platforms.
- Participate in ongoing training, consultation, and professional development.
- Build and maintain a sustainable caseload while providing ethical, individualized, and effective care.
Experience and Qualifications
- Current Wisconsin LPC or LPC-IT license.
- Master’s degree in counseling or a closely related field.
- LPC-IT applicants must be eligible for and actively working toward full LPC licensure.
- Strong clinical, communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently while remaining open to collaboration, consultation, and feedback.
- Comfortable providing both in-person and telehealth services.
- Motivated to develop a caseload and contribute to a growing private practice.
