Freelance Beauty Expert – Skincare & Haircare
Are you passionate about beauty, skincare, haircare, and helping clients find products they genuinely love? We are looking for enthusiastic Freelance Beauty Experts to support our brands within select Ulta Beauty and Sephora locations.
This is a great opportunity for licensed beauty professionals, experienced beauty advisors, and individuals looking to grow their experience within the prestige beauty industry.
Responsibilities
Provide personalized skincare and/or haircare consultations based on each client’s needs, concerns, and goals.
Educate clients on products, ingredients, routines, and proper application techniques.
Demonstrate products and create engaging, hands-on client experiences.
Drive sales and work toward an hourly SPH goal of $100+ per hour.
Build strong relationships with Ulta Beauty and Sephora store teams.
Support brand events, launches, and promotional initiatives.
Maintain brand standards by assisting with merchandising, replenishment, testers, and overall presentation.
Represent our brands with professionalism, enthusiasm, and a client-first approach.
What We’re Looking For
A passion for beauty, skincare, haircare, education, and client service.
Licensed Cosmetologists or Estheticians are highly encouraged to apply.
Current cosmetology or esthetics students and individuals with relevant beauty industry experience are also encouraged to apply.
Previous Ulta Beauty or Sephora experience is preferred, but not required.
Previous retail, beauty, skincare, haircare, sales, or customer-service experience is a plus.
Comfortable approaching clients, conducting consultations, demonstrating products, and recommending complete routines.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a freelance environment.
Ability to meet sales goals while creating a positive, educational client experience.
Dependable, professional, and able to manage time effectively.
